Analytics Delivery Manager – Octave: Data and Advanced Analytics Centre of Excellence

The Analytics Delivery Manager will work under the leadership of Analytics Delivery Lead to support end-to-end data and analytics delivery to business units. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of analytics projects and delivery activities, particularly on pilot deployments and preparation for scale-up, under guidance of the delivery lead, interacting closely with business and technical teams. This person will role model and drive a data driven mindset in the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of analytical projects in partnership with business, IT and analytics teams
• Support pilot deployments of analytics projects, including calculating business value and insights
• Support delivery lead to develop and communicate delivery goals, project schedules, and key performance metrics to head of CoE and business stakeholders
• Proactively manage project stakeholders from project inception through completion
• Prepare presentations, analysis and findings
• Co-present analysis and findings with the lead to business teams and leadership to drive action
• Effectively manage resources with guidance from delivery leads
• Identify strengths and opportunities in delivery team members and provide suggestions for improvements

Skills and Competencies

Business Leadership

• 4-8 years of experience in business leadership or managerial roles, preferably in analytics or technology delivery roles
• Bachelors qualifications in a quantitative field (business, math, economics, finance, statistics, science, engineering); post-graduate qualifications are desirable
• Strong people leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams
• Good project management skills to manage multiple projects in an ‘agile’ setting
• Successful track record of solving complex problems including developing, testing and preparing to scale up solutions
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Ability to execute pilot project deployments
• Ability to effectively communicate with peers and business stakeholders

Data Expertise

• Strong understanding of business context and value chain
• Good knowledge of at least 1 business vertical (Retail, Insurance, Beverages, Hotels and Technology) is highly desirable
• Ability to rapidly gain understanding in 1-2 functional areas (operations, finance etc.) of a business
• Ability to adhere and deliver to high quality standards
• Analytical skills to calculate business impact and assess pilot outcome

Analytics

• Passionate about analytics with strong willingness to get upskilled in analytics methods and technologies
• Prior experience with analytics or technology is highly desirable
