Key purpose of the Job

The Assistant Manager – Fabric Technology is responsible for the innovation and development of unique and exclusive fabric in collaboration with strategic suppliers, customers, and internal cross-functional teams. This includes scanning the Apparel industry trends to deploy break-through fabric innovations that meet customer requirements and Brandix’s Long-Range Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Planning and deploying RM innovation goals for the SBU, based on Group objectives, SBU functional priorities, LRP, etc.
  2. Driving fabric intelligence and business realization from innovations, through collaboration with customers and strategic suppliers
  3. Collaborating with internal cross-functional teams for achievement of functional objectives and KPIs
  4. Building market intelligence and fabric innovation expertise to drive best practices
  5. Leading the SBU RM Innovation and cross-functional teams for innovation projects

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Textile technology or Fabric Technology or any other relevant stream

Experience

8 to 10+ years of relevant experience in the Strategic Sourcing/ Fabric Technology function
Should possess strong textile apparel materials experience with familiarity and understanding of all phases of product creation and execution including textile lab work
