On offer is an opportunity for a Cloud Architect to join our team in Colombo. In this role, you will assume accountability for qualifying and scoping requirements from customers, designing a solution, and positioning Crayon as the partner of choice to help customers and partners transition to the cloud. You will have a close dialog with our customers, existing, and future network. Our customers span from large enterprises to mid-size companies and independent software vendors (ISV), looking to commence or continue their digital transformation journey. You will also package and sell migration plans leveraging existing frameworks established by our global Crayon team. In this role, you will be a subject matter expert on Azure, and strengthen the teams’ capabilities in this subject.

As a Cloud Architect, we can highlight the following responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-sales support for sales teams involving positioning of Cloud Solutions, pre-sales qualification, and opportunity identification.
  • Design and present customer/partner-specific solutions and standard services made available from globally distributed delivery teams.
  • Acting as Trusted Advisor for our partners and customers regarding cloud solutions architecture and delivery
  • Lead and QA project delivery and cloud assessments, ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained, project milestones are met and communication between delivery and customer/partner is maintained.
  • Assess and develop cloud economics and migration plans tailored to customer requirements.
  • Identify Cloud key drivers at our customers to grow share of wallet for Crayon.
  • Accelerate our business and market share, by demonstrating Crayon’s technical expertise, and liaison with strategic partners

Wanted Competency & Experience:

  • 5-8 years of IT experience in consultancy or in-house
  • Experience in Cloud Assessment & Deployment
  • Understanding of IT Operations (Hybrid or full Cloud)
  • Working knowledge of Cloud solutions trends with commercial customers
  • Experience with developing migration plans, statements of work, or project deliverables.
  • Knowledge or experience with multiple migrations and/or assessment tools
  • Familiar with end-to-end delivery of cloud-based solutions

Practical Information:

  • Location for this role: Colombo, Sri Lanka
  • Languages required: Professional level English (verbal and written)
