Data Scientist
Description
- Work with business/support units to identify opportunities for leveraging organizations data to drive business
- Carry out data analytics, visualization and concept development
- Presenting findings & actionable intelligence to stakeholders & senior management
- Development of statistical, machine learning (supervised/unsupervised) & AI models as POC & production ready using open source (R/Python) technologies
- Design and develop data integration from internal & external sources on top of big data / data warehouse environment
- Working in cross functional teams (internal & external) to develop use cases
- Deploy viable use case on production environment with collaboration from IT/Business teams
- Define & setup performance tracking metrices
- Research on industry best practices and work with internal / external parties on R&D tasks
- Responsible for grooming junior data analysts/ scientists
Entry Requirements
- Should possess an Engineering / IT degree specializing in computer science/statistics
- Should have 1-3 years experience in similar capacity
- Understanding/experience in the below would be beneficial
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
- Hands on experience with toolkits – R/Python (or any other equivalent)
- Data visualization and communication
- Data engineering in different environments (data warehouse/big data/cloud storage)
- Should be a continuous learner actively seeking to update knowledge
