Director Supply Chain

Job Overview

Lead, direct and control the overall process of the production planning and logistics management to achieve customer satisfaction through order fulfillment and optimize inventory of raw materials and finished goods.

Education/ Attributes

Degree in Management / Supply Chain & Logistics or equivalent qualifications
Professional qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or Production Planning
Any qualifications in people management, negotiation skills etc. will be added advantage
Ability to manage complexity and work under pressure
Ability to resolve conflicts with a positive outcome for the employees and company while providing a strong Leadership and maintaining a high level of engagement among the teams
Demonstrated continuous improvement and change management capabilities

Responsibilities

Accountability for the achievement of total customer satisfaction by providing high quality and timely service to all internal and external customers
Manage the preparation and execution of production inventory plans for RM, WIP and FG to optimize cost and coordinate implementation of engineering changes to components and finished products to ensure adequate flow of materials while ensuring on time delivery
Ensure the managing of all inventories to be in line with specified levels to minimize any production delays due to lack of raw material and engineering items through management of the cycle count program to ensure integrity of inventory management system
Implement and supervise logistic inbound and outbound flows to get the best service for the customer while optimizing costs and assuring H&S and quality standard.
Supervise effective use of current company ERP system to achieve cost, inventory, and customer service objectives and lead future implementation of new M3 generation ERP related activities
Develop and maintain an effective and efficient organization through the selection, training, and development of personnel
Accountability for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on main events and KPI results & analysis to central SC

Experience

05 or more years of qualifying experience in similar capacity with hand on experience in an ERP supported environment. Hands of experience in a polymer-based manufacturing organization will be an added advantage.
