Role Purpose
Security clearing technology is a clearing platform which provide services to the LCH in Equities and FIXINCOME business to perform their clearing functions in both LTD and SA business. This involves sourcing trades from trade venues and providing end to end security clearing services with involving number of applications and platfroms.
The role is to provide second line support/Maintain clearing platform for business users and respective production service. This includes Investigate issues, analysing defects using the available tools, develop fixes, support new releases and perform general maintenance and administration. New functionality through enhancements and performance tuning and providing progress updates to management and business users on a regular basis.
Strong business knowledge and good communication skills are required for working with the business and other application support teams during troubleshooting and investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement fixes to lower and production environments for defects in the order of priority set by management.
- Analyse defects using the available tools, source code and data. Suggest appropriate fixes including code refactoring or optimisation.
- Remediate issues or setup compensating controls.
- Provide progress update to management, development team members and business users on a regular basis
- Deal with the final physical delivery of the service implementation. Provide feedback on the effectiveness of the release
- Maintain and manage Group Risk IT environments and monitor daily basic & Update Bit Bucket with source code changes based on releases
- Run BAU
- Monitor system usage and performance.
- Design, maintain and analyse system capacity metrics. Review these metrics against the Service-Level Agreement (SLA) on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Work proactively to improve application performance. Participate or initiate design and architecture discussions.
- Maintain and extend the knowledge base in Wiki and SharePoint.
- Contribute to the service management with the Production department.
- Work with relevant team to improve processes and resolve reoccurring tasks where possible.
- Analyse and fix Incident / problem recode / problem know error within the SLAs.
- Provide second-line support to business users.
- Willing to work overnight support rota
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education:
- Degree computer science or related disciplines
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience of working in an IT support or development team (3-5 years minimum)
- Experience in delivering production IT environment management skill from the SIT to production
- Good knowledge of Linux server system administration, clustering and related technology operations tasks
- AWS knowledge/Serverless knowledge
- Experiences in implementing CI/CD Pipelines and tools (Jenkins /GitLab CI)
- Ability to organise and plan work independently
