The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Executive in the Centre for Research in Child Development (CRCD). The Centre was established in 2017 with funding from the Singapore Ministry of Education. Hosted at the National Institute of Education, the Centre conducts studies focusing on factors that influence the course of development from early to middle childhood. This is a contract position till 30 Sep 2023, and may be renewed depending on the individual’s performance and institute’s needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support research engagement strategies and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Organise research engagement, outreach and dissemination activities.
  • Prepare and edit publicity materials (brochures, newsletters, videos, etc.).
  • Update and maintain web content.
  • Assist with finance, grant management and human resource processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and human resource policies and procedures.
  • Assist with cashflow projections, budgeting and tracking of budget utilization.
  • Assist with fund transfer, purchase and procurement requests.
  • Assist with office maintenance and space allocation.
  • Preparing of minutes and papers.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Support centre and research project related duties as assigned.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • A Polytechnic Diploma.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experiences, preferably with some public relations experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and video/photo editing software.
