Executive-Legal
Job Purpose:
To provide effective legal support, analyse legal risks and eliminate risk by ensuring a positive impact on the image and profitability of the organization
Key Accountabilities:
• Analyze, review, verify & follow-up all Legal documentation for the acquisition of any land/space (i.e. Lease/Transfer/ Purchase /License) for the Company
• Ensure that agreements are in legal framework and vetted to meet company requirements and protect the company from legal risk
• Conduct Research on contemporary changes on laws related to our business or any laws that can have direct or in-direct impact on the business and suggest the changes required in Legal framework
• Coordinate with external lawyers and monitor the progress of litigations
• Lead business negotiations to negotiate with different vendors and external agencies to get better terms and conditions for the organization
• Synchronize with different Departments and provide opinion to resolve different legal issues
• Conduct Enquiry Meetings and prepare Enquiry Reports and other documentation as part of the Disciplinary Process
• Represent the company in different legal proceedings before different courts of Bangladesh
• Prepare business contract, Service Level Agreement, Non-Disclosure Agreement and MOU in various legal issues
• Interact with Group Legal and Regulatory, incorporate their feedback, answer queries on time
Academic Qualification:
LL. B (Hons), LL.M, Barrister-at -law or Attorney is preferred
Knowledge and Competence:
• Knowledge in Bangladesh Telecom Act & BTRC policy, regulations & directives
• Overall understanding in Company Law, Labour Law and Company Secretariat
• Good understanding in civil and criminal laws
• Capacity to handle litigations for and against the company
• Legal Knowledge & drafting skills in preparing business contracts
• Analyzing and Advising on Legal Risk management
• Preservation and Maintenance of Legal documents
Working Experience:
• 1-3 years in telecom industry of which 1 year in a similar type of position/job description.
• Experience in Court matters is preferable. Membership of the High Court Bar is preferred
