Key purpose of the Job

The Garment Technologist is responsible for coordinating and providing garment technical support for the assigned styles. Secure KPI by on time garment development & approval from DI to PP approval. This includes understanding of customer requirements, communicating and negotiation with customer, system uploads, pad and wire developments and fit approval to hit the T&A.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Understanding the design intent & guiding the team on pattern creation and garment construction of  styles, from concept to PP approval.
  2. Communicating directly with customers and suppliers and clarify/ discuss all technical related aspects.
  3. Conducting development risk assessment and assure a bulk feasible style is developed while achieving customer technical and quality standards.
  4. Coordinate with production plants & other cross functional teams for all technical related matters.
  5. Evaluating bra and brief fits and provide necessary fit amendments for on time fit approval and update on time system updates for every activity.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Diploma in Clothing Technology

Experience

1 to 3+ years’ experience in Product Development /Customer Based; relating to Technical / Fit/ Garment Construction & Production Feasibility
Knowledge of Bra cup & wire development, construction, consumption, fabric properties , molding.
Experience in bonding garments and knowledge on bulk manufacturing process flow will be advantageous
Fluency in English language and MS Office (outlook,word,excel & Power point)
