Import Manager, Vacancies At MAC Holdings (Private) Limited, Colombo, Sri Lanka.

To lead, manage the overall operations of the Ocean, Air Imports division in accordance with the strategic plan and set policies of the company to achieve its maximum growth and profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• To establish strategic policies & plans relating to Ocean Import and Air Import products.
• Provide leadership to product operations team to achieve the set objectives.
• To develop business plans and strategies for product growth and retention.
• Negotiate competitive rates/contracts with Agents and carriers.
• Support sales team to continuously widen the existing import client base and increase the company’s revenues through providing high quality service.
• Assist the management to set an aggressive but realistic annual budget for the import products and work towards achieving it.
• To establish, review and maintain overall procedures and operational processes to meet all stakeholder needs.
• To effectively handle customer complaints relating to imports operations.

Ideal Candidate should be

• 10 years’ experience in freight and logistics field and 2 years at similar capacity.
• Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree or a professional qualification in the freight and logistics industry.

You should have a good educational background coupled with excellent communication skills in English, computer literacy, and the ability to work with minimum supervision. Good negotiation, presentation and PR skills are a must.
