General Summary

This is a 6 months’ full-time internship providing you the opportunity in gaining practical work experience in the Technical Design team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Regional Design Technologist, assisting in fit plan, completion of Technical specification packages & fit sessions.
• Partner with Design Technologist to provide technical support to Design, Pre-Production, Brand Managers and Production teams.
• Develop product technical specification packages to communicate requirements for fit and construction, taking responsibility for all aspects of technical pre-production work relating to fit and construction.
• Ensure that products are developed consistent with established fit and quality standards, manufacturer’s capabilities, and cost specifications.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop specifications to define product performance standards through the application of laboratory testing and wash and wear testing.
• Communicate technical specification requirements to vendors.
• Responsible for managing the adherence to the time and action calendars for sample receiving and fitting.
• Support functional projects with clear direction and guidance
• Department administration such as model invoices, sample coordination & storage
• Participate in global training and calibration sessions

Qualifications

• University student or fresh graduate in garment fit and construction preferred
• Practical experience of patternmaking and garment construction for sampling/bulk production is a plus
• An understanding and experience using computer based pattern marking via Gerber/Lectra , etc software is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated, fast-paced and willing to learn
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Good command of written and spoken English
