Position Summary

• Assist Nestlé in accomplishing its mission and objectives by applying a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization’s governance, operations and control processes. In particular, the scope of activities includes the following areas of responsibilities:
  • Reliability and integrity of financial and operational information, 
  • Safeguarding of assets,
  • Effectiveness and efficiency of operations,
  • Compliance with Regulations, Company principles and guidelines.
• Ensure there is appropriate follow-up of audit recommendations.
• Perform advisory services related to governance, risk management and control (when required)

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal audit engagements of Nestlé units (i.e. Head Offices, Factories, Distribution Centres, Sales Offices, Shared Service Centres, 3rd party providers, etc.), i.e. conduct interviews and understand process flow, controls and technology interfaces within the processes under review
• Map observed controls to business risks to identify uncontrolled risks, evaluate the design-effectiveness and test the operating-effectiveness of controls and continuously validate and communicate potential exceptions
• Collate potential exceptions and substantiate potential observations identified during the audit, discuss potential audit observations with process owners, prioritize agreed observations based on likelihood and impact of risks (risk rating), make value-added recommendations in the audit report
• Stakeholders (e.g. auditees or (Senior) Audit Team Leader) are properly managed through active involvement, e.g. consider auditees’ concerns on timing and audit scope during the planning stage (in Stage: Plan audits, Step)
• Discuss potential audit observations with process owners  as soon as a potential exception occurs
• Assist respective (Senior) Audit Team Leader in performing a preliminary risk-based assessment to properly plan the internal audit engagement(s), by reviewing different sources of information (e.g. previous audit reports, operational performance reports, KPI’s or CSA results) and interviewing key stakeholders
• Upon Management request, conduct local assistance projects and adhoc reviews tailored to local business needs e.g fraud investigations, participation in cross-functional projects or specific process reviews etc

What will make you successful

• Completion of university program intended to result in certification (MSc) in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering,  IT, Mathematics or Law, or MBA;
• Professional auditing certification (preferred), such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
• 1-2 years of experience in auditing required with international auditing/accounting firm or large Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) corporation (outside of Nestlé) or of operational experience (e.g. in Finance, SC, Sales, Marketing, or Industrial Performance) in large FMCG corporation.
• International exposure (preferred).
• Proficiency in English (written and oral) and in at least one other language required.
• Additional language(s) (preferred)
• Willingness to travel, often spending several weeks away at a time at our European sites, is essential
