Junior Executive – Finance
John Keells PLC was established in 1960 as a Tea and Rubber Broker. The company is a subsidiary of one of the largest conglomerates in Sri Lanka, the John Keells Group.
The company seeks an exceptional individual for the above role and invites applications from suitably qualified individuals.
Job Responsibilities
- Processing of payments ensuring the adherence to controls
- Coordinating with Shared Services and finalizing bank reconciliations as per the Group timelines
- Analyzing expense and income accounts to be presented to the management committee
- Responsible for ensuring the adherence to group & company policies
- Handling the process of non-trading stock items
- Assisting in the preparation of Annual Plans & Reforecast
- Assisting the Finance Manager in the finalization of year end audit & the preparation of year end accounts
- Coordination with Internal & External Auditors
- Conduct fixed asset counts, in order to ensure the accurate availability
- Liaising with operations staff on day-to-day issues
Person Specifications
- Be part qualified in CIMA / ACCA / ICASL / AAT
- 1 years’ experience in a similar capacity preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial principles
- Language proficiency – English & Sinhalese is a must and Tamil will be an added advantage
- Excellent knowledge on MS Office
- Knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage
