Marketing Intern

Job Tasks:

Primary

• Generating and converting leads into customers
• Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
• Research accounts, identify key database players and generate interest
• Maintain and expand your database of prospect opportunities
• Understand customer needs and requirements. Proactively look for opportunities/ engage potential customers/ and demonstrate an aptitude in follow-throughs and sales.
• Team with Presales resources and management to build pipeline and close deals
• Route large, qualified opportunities to the appropriate Account Managers for further development and closure
• Perform effective online demos to prospective customers

Job Tasks:

Secondary

• Creating generic sales/ marketing plans for regions
• Creating generic sales/ marketing plans for countries within those regions
• Creating specific sales/ marketing plans for companies within the countries
• Acquiring leads

Role Requirements and Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge about core marketing principals
• Having a natural feel for digital marketing
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Good time management and attention to detail
• Social media savvy and IT savvy with experience MS office
• No professional qualifications are necessary

This position is an internship for the duration of 3 to 6 months, as decided by Azbow. However, it is a paid internship that carries a remuneration package of LKR 12,500/- per month as a monthly salary, and individuals that are deemed to be suitable will be offered a permanent position as “Junior Marketing Executive (Trainee)” at the end of their internship, at the discretion of Azbow.
