Cova Bay (a Covalent Systems Ltd and Cedar Bay (Europe) Ltd Joint Venture) is a multinational provider of consultancy services and our own data collection/utility software solutions. We currently have 120+ multi-site clients within the USA, UK, Europe and APAC in a variety of business sectors. We are experiencing significant year on year growth with great additional potential and are looking for an office administrator/finance person in Sri Lanka (Colombo).
The Job
Cova Bay are looking for a self-starting full time individual to join us as part of our team at our office in Colombo. The main function of this position will be the administration & finance of our Sri Lankan office and assisting our UK based team in the country specific finance aspects relating to tax and local fillings. In addition, we are looking for assistance in working with the set up and maintenance of employee records and some local administrative tasks. As we are still relatively small in our Sri Lankan operation, the ideal person will be flexible and willing to help wherever needed for the success of the office. Our ideal person will handle the administrative tasks within the company including, but not limited to :-
- Submit local taxes, preparations, periodic filings, month end and year end
- Administration of benefits
- Administration of payroll
- Manage office and phone contracts etc.
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Self-motivated
- Being able to work to a deadline
The Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in office administration
- Bookkeeping knowledge
- Understanding of local Sri Lankan tax regulations
- Knowledge of accounting systems, P&L statements and balance sheets
The target starting date will be 1st August 2021
