PHP Developer – Senior Software Engineer

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Liaise with business analysts, product owners and others in order to understand the business requirement
• Carry out detail technical designing in consultation of architects and tech leads
• Implementation of the technical design including coding, calling existing services, creating new components etc.
• Testing of different types including unit and integration testing
• Carrying out deployment into test, UAT and production environments
• Adhering to engineering principals, design, coding, implementation and deployment standards
• Developing products using PHP and utilize either the Laravel or Craft CMS (Yii2) frameworks.
• Work in an agile development environment.
• Coming up with creative solutions to problems and coming up with forward thinking ideas.
• ​Adhering to Mitra Delivery model.

​SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Thorough knowledge in software engineering with a strong front end development background. 6 years of experience in software engineering
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Ability to communicate effectively with different project stakeholders
• Experience working as a good team player in a high performance Agile team coming from a diverse background.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel 5.4 + and JavaScript.
• Knowledge on front end development.​
• Knowledge on VueJS / ReactJS / NodeJS will be an added advantage.
• Agile development (experience with JIRA & Confluence would be advantageous).
• Knowledge on Micro-service approach, AWS, LEMP stack knowledge and CMS experience (Craft CMS) is desirable.
