PHP Developer – Senior Software Engineer
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with business analysts, product owners and others in order to understand the business requirement
- Carry out detail technical designing in consultation of architects and tech leads
- Implementation of the technical design including coding, calling existing services, creating new components etc.
- Testing of different types including unit and integration testing
- Carrying out deployment into test, UAT and production environments
- Adhering to engineering principals, design, coding, implementation and deployment standards
- Developing products using PHP and utilize either the Laravel or Craft CMS (Yii2) frameworks.
- Work in an agile development environment.
- Coming up with creative solutions to problems and coming up with forward thinking ideas.
- Adhering to Mitra Delivery model.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Thorough knowledge in software engineering with a strong front end development background. 6 years of experience in software engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different project stakeholders
- Experience working as a good team player in a high performance Agile team coming from a diverse background.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel 5.4 + and JavaScript.
- Knowledge on front end development.
- Knowledge on VueJS / ReactJS / NodeJS will be an added advantage.
- Agile development (experience with JIRA & Confluence would be advantageous).
- Knowledge on Micro-service approach, AWS, LEMP stack knowledge and CMS experience (Craft CMS) is desirable.
