Project Officer (Mechanical Engineering/Automation/Control Engineering)
The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.
The Project Officer will be leading the development of an intelligent prediction and decision-making system for autonomous driving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project meetings and facilitating communication among project personnel
- Develop and maintaining project operational procedures, materials, and documents
- Monitor progress of research projects
- Assist in financial planning and monitoring project expenditure
- Manage and maintaining project records
- Coordinate project data collection, management, integrity
- Assist in the preparation and writing of progress reports, scientific presentations and abstracts, manuscripts and publications
- Other ad hoc administrative duties to support the research projects.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Automation/ Control Engineering.
- Good background in control theory, machine learning, and/or C++/Python/Matlab skills will be preferred.
- Strong background in deep learning, state prediction, robotics and automation.
- Candidates having relevant research or working experience in prediction algorithms for ground vehicles will be preferred.
- Good communications skills and the ability to work independently and facilitate projects with minimal supervision.
- Able to contribute to Journal/Conference papers with good presentation skills.
- Able to plan and organize well and adhere to deadlines
