The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.

The Project Officer will be leading the development of an intelligent prediction and decision-making system for autonomous driving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate project meetings and facilitating communication among project personnel
• Develop and maintaining project operational procedures, materials, and documents
• Monitor progress of research projects
• Assist in financial planning and monitoring project expenditure
• Manage and maintaining project records
• Coordinate project data collection, management, integrity
• Assist in the preparation and writing of progress reports, scientific presentations and abstracts, manuscripts and publications
• Other ad hoc administrative duties to support the research projects.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Automation/ Control Engineering.
• Good background in control theory, machine learning, and/or C++/Python/Matlab skills will be preferred.
• Strong background in deep learning, state prediction, robotics and automation.
• Candidates having relevant research or working experience in prediction algorithms for ground vehicles will be preferred.
• Good communications skills and the ability to work independently and facilitate projects with minimal supervision.
• Able to contribute to Journal/Conference papers with good presentation skills.
• Able to plan and organize well and adhere to deadlines
