Research Engineer I (Radar and Machine Learning)

The Delta-NTU Corporate Laboratory invites applications for the position of Research Engineer I.

The Research Engineer’s role is to work on research projects which involves developing of metacognitive algorithms and integrating multi-sensors for autonomous moving robot.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Contribute to the development and implementation of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithms for robust navigation of an autonomous moving robot (AMR) in a dynamic scenario
• Integration of sensors such as radar on AMR platform for multi-sensor perception
• Contribute to the development and implementation of multi-sensory perception algorithms for challenging navigation scenario in an indoor environment
• Contribute to the development of metacognitive algorithms for dynamic scenario in an indoor environment
• Contribute to the simulation and assessment of developed algorithms
• Contribute to the project reporting, documentation, and presentation

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines, preferred
• Proficient in Python and C/C++ programming
• Experience in machine learning, reinforcement learning, or deep learning method preferred
• Driven, passionate, self-starter, team player, innovative and quality focused
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
• Open to learning new development methods
• Fluency in spoken and written English
