Job Description

NUS Centre for Additive Manufacturing (AM.NUS) has a new opening in Research Fellow position with expertise and experience in Additive Manufacturing (AM), especially for soft materials, hydrogels, electronic 3D printing for sensors or flexible electronics applications. The successful candidate will work with Principal Investigators (PI), research staff, laboratory technicians and students in the centre to develop AM technologies for advanced materials or applications.

The candidate’s duties will include:

  • Leading the scientific research and results analysis
  • Engaging in research projects and centre capability development
  • Working closely with industries to explore opportunities for collaboration
  • Assisting centre PIs in writing project proposals, reports, papers and invention disclosures

Qualifications

  • PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science
  • Experience in material or product development with AM technologies
  • Experience related to soft materials, hydrogels, electronic 3D printing, sensors or flexible electronics
  • Experience in material or process simulation will be a plus
  • Creative, self-motivated, good team player
