Research Fellow (Slope Stability), Opportunity At NTU Main Campus, Singapore.

A Research Fellow position is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

• Work on the project to carry out finite element analyses related to the application of unsaturated soil mechanics for sustainable urban living, such as: plant health, slope stability
• Analyses of data from laboratory testing and field instrumentation as input parameters for numerical analyses
• Laboratory works and field instrumentation on soil suctions, moisture contents and other geotechnical instruments related to slope stability
• Numerical Analyses: Finite Element Analyses, Limit Equilibrium Analyses and GIS
• Administration works related to project needs
• Presentation in relevant meetings/conferences
• Writing project reports, technical paper for publication

Job Requirements:

• Doctoral degree in relevant engineering/science field
• Graduated from a recognized university
• Proficiency in programming language such as Python, C++
• Experiences in working on research projects in Singapore
• Applicant is expected to be familiar with laboratory testing
• Applicant is expected to be familiar with finite element analysis
• Proficiency in English
• Experiences in managing research projects in Singapore will be an advantage
