Research Fellow (Solid Waste Treatment / Environmental Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry)

A Research Fellow position is available in the Centre for Urban Solutions at School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. We are seeking a Research Fellow with an outstanding background in solid waste treatment, environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry.

You will be expected to work effectively on an ongoing project, “Breaking the ground” in Semakau Landfill: technological solutions for site investigation and material reuse, perform independent and collaborative research to meet the project objectives, to develop new solutions, to seek funding for new research directions, and to publish high-quality journal papers to promote the international reputation of the Centre and the University.

Job Description:

• Involve in a project that develop solid waste treatment techniques for mixed non-incinerable wastes excavated from a landfill, and related to solid waste treatment, environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry

Job Requirements:

• A Ph.D. Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent from a recognised university

• Have good knowledge in the topics mentioned above;

• Able to work independently and collaborate with team members

• Good verbal and written communication in English

• Working or research experience of at least 4 years is desirable
