The Role

We are looking for a CA qualified accountant with 3-4 years plus experience in a Chartered Firm. The role will have all elements of business services, with month, quarterly and annual workflows across compliance, outsourced financial controller and advisory.

The position is to be right hand man/woman to the partner, relatively autonomous with plenty of client contact.

Desire to grow as an accountant and ultimately start to build up your own book.

To Succeed

• Proficient in completing Company annual accounts and income tax returns for SME entities and SME groups, associated work papers
• Proficient in completing Trust annual accounts and income tax returns, distribution resolutions, family trust elections and other associated issues, associated workpapers
• Monthly IAS, Payroll Tax
• Quarterly BAS
• Proficient in bookkeeping, process improvement, payroll, general support (manual journals, month end reconciliations), happy to deal with business owners and client-side accounts teams
• Xero focus, light touch MYOB and QB. XPM is practice manager
• Understanding of structuring, setting up companies, trusts (Now Infinity). Some knowledge of ASIC forms helpful.
• Exposure to capital raising processes, dealing with lawyers, ASIC and issuing share certificates a bonus, not essential
• Exposure to R&D tax incentive, EMDG grant a bonus, not essential
• Exposure to Due Diligence process a bonus, not essential
