The Senior Assistant Director, Governance and Quality Assurance, is responsible for administering educational quality assurance processes and practices for the NTU Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery undergraduate programme at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. This position reports to Director, Education Management.

 

The post holder is required to ensure that efficient and robust systems and data handling mechanisms are developed for educational governance and quality assurance including curriculum and policy documentation for the NTU MBBS degree programme.

 

Degree Proposal

  • Study global best practices in medical education for adoption and adaptation to NTU MBBS degree programme
  • Prepare NTU MBBS degree proposal documentation for approval by School’s Governing Board, Nanyang Technological University, Ministry of Education and Singapore Medical Council
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to plan and develop budget estimates for new degree programme, including operating expenses and expenditure on manpower
  • Liaise with external stakeholders in monitoring approval timeline and processes
  • Contribute to development of media strategy for NTU MBBS degree

 

Curriculum Documentation

  • Develop electronic filing infrastructure for NTU MBBS degree documentation
  • Maintain version control of curriculum documentation
  • Set up business continuity plan for concurrent in-person and online delivery of learning activities

 

Programme Policies and Processes

  • Review MBBS degree programme policies and processes
  • Write degree policies and processes for approval at School and University-level committees
  • Prepare student-facing versions of policies and processes for publication on student intranet

 

Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement

  • Represent the School at national-level medical education quality assurance and quality improvement efforts
  • Prepare quality assurance documentation for submission to Ministry of Health and Singapore Medical Council
  • Develop quality assurance/quality improvement framework for NTU MBBS degree
  • Collaborate with Imperial College London staff in fulfilling wind-down obligations of the joint NTU-Imperial MBBS degree agreement

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred
  • Background in medical education and/or healthcare administration
  • Experience in education quality management

 

This is a 3 years contract appointment.
