Description

The role requires the candidate to be responsible for delivery of KYC operations. The candidate will work in close partnership with the operations teams to ensure delivery of accurate and complete data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review customers’ registration and licence
• Conduct ownership reviews (direct and indirect)
• Identify key stakeholders controlling a customer
• Perform Sanctions, Watch List, PEP and Adverse New Screening
• Analyse screening results
• Prepare risk summaries based on the available, collated and researched information
• Conduct quality reviews (peer QA and QC)
• Prepare MIS reports and documentation related to the tasks
• Interact with customers and discuss the outputs

Qualifications/Required Background

• Over 8 years’ experience with global financial institutions, with strong hands-on experience in handling all operations (on-boarding, renewals and remediation) and processes (legal checks, ownership reviews, screening and risk profiling)
• Strong domain knowledge
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience in client interactions
• Strong analytical skills to spot trends and patterns
• Solid reporting skills (MIS for operational statistics)
• Experience using at least one of the various ownership databases, such as Orbis, Bankers Almanac, Bankscope and SWIFT Registry
• Experience using at least one of the various screening databases, such as Dow Jones, World Check, LexisNexis and Orbis
• Knowledge of ACAMS, ACFCS and ICA (an added advantage)
