Senior Executive (Clinical Research Officer) for the Health Screening Centre

 

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is looking for a Senior Executive who is self-motivated, proactive in problem solving and a strong team player. The Senior Executive will be part of the Health for Life in Singapore (HELIOS) Study team, a flagship Singapore population health study jointly conducted by LKCMedicine, National Healthcare Group and Imperial College of London. We aim to profile the health and behavior of up to 10,000 people from the general Singapore population over the next few years. We are conducting (1) surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, (2) physical and functional measurements (e.g. anthropometry, hand grip strength, treadmill walking test, spirometry, ECG, -retinal imaging, arterial stiffness and skin physiology assessments  and (3) biomarkers for chronic diseases.

 

The candidate will play a key role mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:

 

  • Register participants on the day of the study.

 

  • Communicate with participants before or after the study to address their queries.

 

  • Follow-up promptly with participants on post-study matters e.g. feedback, retrieval of health monitoring equipment.

 

  • Generate accurate health reports and mail to participants.

 

  • Work with clinicians to follow-up on critically abnormal or incidental findings.

 

  • Coordinates appropriate and timely honorarium payment to participants.

 

  • Assist to look after study website; ensure that the information provided on the website are up to date.

 

  • Report to the HELIOS Reporting Team Lead and perform other duties that are assigned to him/her.

 

 

Candidates should have:

 

Passion to make the difference in the society through research and/or serving the community.

 

A positive attitude and ability to learn new skills are essential attributes to succeed in this role.

 

Basic degree in business management, social sciences or biomedical sciences.

 

Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and negotiation skills.

 

Fluent in spoken and written English. Fluent in Malay, Tamil, Chinese or dialects would be of advantage.

 

The ability to work independently with high levels of motivation.

 

Being exposed to allied health/clinical (hospital) environment would be of advantage.
