Senior Full Stack Developer

Future Fibres is the market leader in carbon fiber rigging products for yachting. As part of the wider North Technology group, we are at the forefront of technology in the performance marine industry. We are seeking a Full stack developer with strong experience in Node.js and React.js to join our team and manage our Yacht Scoring website. The ideal candidate should have experience in DevOps, specifically CI/CD, and preferably AWS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end and back-end web applications using React.js and a variety of backend languages. Implement user interface components for JavaScript-based web and mobile applications using the React ecosystem.
• Work closely with development teams to design, build and maintain AWS environments and systems.
• Be able to lead the integration of DevOps practices into the software delivery lifecycle, with a focus on automation, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications using SQL.
• Debugging and upgrading existing software.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions. Establish, configure, test, and maintain operating environments.
• Write effective APIs and create security and data protection settings.
• Participate in continuous learning and training to keep abreast of the latest developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role for 5+ years.
• Strong experience with React.js, Redux, AWS, SQL, and DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., MS-SQL, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., IIS, Apache) and UI/UX design.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure on Azure and AWS including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, etc.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

1) AWS or Azure Certification is a plus.

2) Knowledge of other front-end frameworks like Vue.js or AngularJS is beneficial.
