ACADEMIC FACULTY APPOINTMENT:  The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine

A Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer, Family Medicine, at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is expected to make a major contribution to the education mission of the School. The job holder will support the review and renewal of the School’s Family Medicine and Primary Care curriculum.

Job Purpose

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine will offer the independent NTU MBBS degree with effect from AY2024-25. The NTU MBBS will keep the best of the Imperial College London (Imperial)-NTU degree and at the same time introduce enhancements to align with changes in healthcare and healthcare education nationally and globally.

LKCMedicine is seeking a Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer to support the review and renewal of the School’s Family Medicine and Primary Care curriculum.

Primary Responsibilities/ Activities

Curriculum Review and Renewal

Review the Family Medicine/ Primary Care components in the MBBS curriculum in relation to the National Outcomes Framework for Medical Graduates 2018 and Healthier SG Refresh/ Integrate the new learning outcomes in the MBBS curriculum Review and renew Family Medicine/ Primary Care learning activities and approaches Refresh/ develop learning materials/ resources for students and faculty

New approaches

Identify new partners that the School can work with to support learning activities Communicate revised curriculum to clinical teachers and provide faculty training Contribute to design and introduction of programmatic assessment for Family Medicine/ Primary Care curriculum components Provide opportunities for medical students to be involved in community engagement activities including but not limited to:

• Community health talks
• Health screening
• Healthy grocery shopping &/ meal preparation

The level of effort for this appointment is at 0.4 full-time equivalent (FTE) employment.
