This position will be a leader of the Black Dog Institute’s program in digital health informatics; we’re harnessing the latest technology and other tools to turn our world-class research findings into clinical services, education and e-health products that improve the lives of people with mental disorders and the wider community. 

You will collaborate closely with the NHMRC-funded Future Proofing Trial team and the MRFF-funded Optimise Trial to lead the health informatics components of these projects and be a conduit to linking relevant software development and AI teams.  You will also design and undertake analyses relevant to the strategic research objectives and contribute to the overall academic culture of the Black Dog Institute.  The Senior Research Fellow works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team which includes team members from across the digital design and development, data and analytics, innovation and the project management office. The position is supported by the Academic Theme Lead for Digital and Health at the Institute. The role of Senior Research Fellow reports to the Associate Professor and may have up to five direct reports.

Who you are

You have a PhD in e-health, informatics, data science or a related discipline, as well as a demonstrated track record in high-quality, high impact e- health research and quantitative analysis, and experience in supervision and management of academic and professional research staff.
