Overview

The position is opened in Sri Lanka DCS firmware team. The selected candidate will be developing firmware and software tools for Zebra barcode scanners.

Responsibilities

• Be a part of the firmware development team for Zebra data capture devices
• Start developing firmware using C/C++ and also developing software tools and applications using other languages and web technologies.
• Develop innovative, reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for enterprise class barcode scanner products
• Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team across multiple development sites in an Agile environment.
• Involve in projects across the full software cycle. Architect, design, develop and validate barcode scanner firmware, device drivers and applications.
• Ensure high code quality by following software engineering best practices.
• Keeping up to date with industry standards and advancements in development.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 4 to 8 years of industrial experience
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in firmware development using C/C++ languages.
• Experience on firmware architectures, embedded RTOS and PCB layout design
• Experience in application development using C# or Python
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of OOPs concepts, design patterns and device I/O operations.
• Programming experience with Web Development, Image processing and data analysis is a plus
