Senior Software Engineer (Power BI | Analytics)
Description
We are looking for a talented software professional to join our Research and Development Centre in Colombo.
Responsibilities
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Power BI development, SQL, Data Warehouse/Analysis, Tabular, DAX, Power Query, M
Skills with data preparation, modelling, and reporting with Power BI (all Ecosystems: Desktop, Services, Gateway)
Knowledge of data models in Power BI (Import, Direct Query, Composite, Live Connection, Push Architecture)
Knowledge of Star-Schema modelling, Snowflake Schema modelling, Fact and Dimension tables
Experience in Power BI Administration, Premium capacities, and Gateway management
Sound understanding of Power BI Dataflow and Datasets
Requirements
A Degree in Computer Science or and equivalent qualification.
3+ years’ industry experience in a Power BI/Data Analytics role.
Design and develop Power BI reports/dashboards with Dataset ingestion & transformation, Data Modelling, and DAX.
Translate requirements into reports/dashboards (created from multiple data sources) by presenting suggestions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements for business needs.
Performance tuning and optimization of reports and dashboards.
Good communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
