Software Engineer Internship – Full-Stack

Asset Digital is looking for a young and energetic Software Engineer Intern (Full-Stack) to join our growing team in Kuliyapitiya.We expect the intern to be dedicated to the role and come equipped with knowledge of PHP and frameworks such as Laravel, Yii2 and Flutter. Also, knowledge of HTML5, CSS and Javascript libraries such as Jquery is essential. Knowledge about frameworks such as Angularjs and WordPress will be a plus point. We also highly encourage candidates who live in close proximity to Kuliyapitya (within a 10 km radius) to apply for this position.

What is my job role?

Simply put, the role would involve designing, coding, testing and maintaining software while estimating the size and scope of the development efforts.

What kind of competencies and skills should I demonstrate?

It would be a benefit if you are capable of demonstrating excellent analytical skills along with the ability to work with unstructured information. You should be able to handle complex problems independently, and evaluate alternative approaches to problem-solving. A skill that you must have is a firm grasp of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns, with the ability to model solutions using UML.

It would also be a plus point if you have knowledge of agile software development practices and test­-driven development. A few other added skills to have would be good technical writing, documentation skills with great attention to detail and excellent written and communication skills.

What would my working hours be?
