Support Engineer
Primary job role
Fortude is looking for a talented, self-driven individual capable of engaging with customers to ensure business continuity. The Support Manager will lead teams of customer support specialists to ensure that customers receive technical assistance with business-critical applications.
Main duties/responsibilities
- Providing Level 1 and level 2 application support by troubleshooting technical and software issues for the business-critical applications
- Ensuring effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications
- Escalating issues to the Level 3 (Product Development) team
- Establishing the root causes of application errors and escalating serious concerns to the Product team
- Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics
- Engage in package deployment and release management
- Provide technical support to end users
- Providing front-end support to clients and colleagues in other departments
- Train and guide key users
- Participate in requirement discussions
Experience
- 1 – 2 years of application support experience in a relevant field
Technical knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of SQL
- Experience with applications developed with Nest JS, React JS, Bull JS, Angular, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript would be an added advantage
- Knowledge of RDBMS and Document Database
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or an equivalent qualification
