Technical Lead, Application Management (Security Clearing Technology)

Key Responsibilities
Support of the LCH applications related to MCCP programme.
Support of a critical element of the London financial infrastructure.
- General Responsibilities
- Significant stakeholder management responsibilities with key contacts in 3rd Line Team, business teams and business management
- supporting Environment management, releases and infra enhancements(Cloud)
- Management of shifts to ensure 24×5 onsite cover and 24×7 cover with on-call support.
- Own the incident management process and resolution of incidents raised within the production.
- Provide in-depth analysis in areas such as incident trends, mean time to recover and any other area where improvements need to be identified and remediated.
- Ensure the teams are meeting their respective SLAs and OLAs via regular reviews and ensure that any identified improvement steps are being progressed to meet agreed delivery dates
- Overseeing and managing service operations throughout its complete lifecycle.
- Ensure that all processes and documentation are adequate and effective to meet support and audit requirements.
- Provide weekly status reporting to the Stakeholders.
- To ensure effective, pro-active monitoring and management is in place for systems.
- Ensure the regular disaster recovery tests are carried out by the teams and that they meet the required standards/conditions
- Ensure that the offshore team are adequately trained to support the Technology & Operations infrastructure across different vertical.
- Lead on cross-service improvement initiatives, specifically improving processes around incident, problem and capacity management, and service transition.
- Enhance people and capability build up responsibility

- Resolve Incidents and Problems
- Monitor ServiceNow/JIRA for Incidents and Problems
- Analyse problems and work with L3/Dev team for suitable resolutions
- Apply resolutions following the LCH Change Management procedure
- Report current status to relevant business and IT teams
- Record progress of incident resolution in ServiceNow/JIRA
- Follow documented incident management procedures
- Handling/Coordinating any issues with downstream/upstream applications
- Own the issue and drive it to clousure
- Out of hours support/ On-call support
- Be available for overnight support of production/non production services to ensure successful completion of processing
- Respond to overnight calls and deal with issues
- Support weekend releases and maintenance work
- Participate in Production out of hours activities such as Disaster Recovery exercises
- Consultancy
- Provide consultancy during design and implementation
- Act as subject matter experts for the applications
- Quality check potential changes
- Review development release packages prior to production deployment
- Provide benefit of experience in the business area and application
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education:
- Degree educated, preferably in a technical discipline
Required skills and experience
- strong AWS platforms and tooling skills
- Strong Oracle DB, Java based distributed platforms skills
- Strong UNIX OS skills, Scripting skills (UNIX shell scripting: bash, korn shell)
- Good experience in supporting Environment management
- Knowledge of MQ
- Hands-on in version control repository (Ideally bitbucket)
- Preferable to have Control M and Oracle Coherence experience
- Understanding of product development lifecycle and methodologies
- Exposure to SQL, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Java Springboot, Eclipse, F5 load balancer, Maven, Geneos, Service Now will be an added advantage
Person Specification
- Experience in a Post Trade or Clearing service environment
- Familiarity with financial products and financial terms
- Previous technical team managemenet experience.
- Strong ITIL knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent data manipulation skills – highly proficient in the MS Office suite of products.
- Proficient in MIS and reporting tools.
- Strong account or relationship management experience
- Extensive and demonstrable problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Strong negotiation / influencing skills able to overcome resistance and reach consensus and compromise in order to attain the required objective.
- Experience in giving presentations and chairing meetings
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving abilities
- Strong technical background in the core technologies with multiple years of experience
