Technical Lead – Data

As the Digital Excellence pillar at MAS, we drive MAS’s digital strategy across the group by making sure that the solutions we offer are flexible and suited to future proof MAS, against headwinds and opportunities and make MAS relevant in the future by building the required capabilities. We have embarked on a highly ambitious multi-million $ analytics driven future proofing program. This has opened up several roles in the analytics domain.

We invite experienced Data Technologists to join MAS Digital Excellence’s Data Analytics Team and be a part of this program.

Responsibilities

· Interact with customer facing BI Consultants & Data Scientists to fulfill their data needs and guide them on DevOps & MLOps flows

· Explore and communicate suitable options, design, and create data pipelines for specific analytical solutions

· Define and implement ELT based on jointly defined requirements with Data Platform Manager, BI Consultants and Data Scientists

· Implement data quality and availability ensuring processes in the Azure Data Platform

· Enhance performance, speed and robustness of the Data Platform

· Research, propose & adopt the latest industry best practices, technologies & architectures

Candidate Profile

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM or Equivalent Professional Qualification

· 6+ years in SQL scripting and performance tuning of DB objects such as star schemas, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures and functions

· 5+ years in data warehousing (e.g.: Azure DW, Snowflake) & Distributed Databases (e.g.: MPPA)

· 5+ years in Python or Scala programming

· 4+ Years in the Azure Cloud Data Stack (ADL, Databricks, MLFlow, Synapse, Analysis Services etc.)

· 3+ years in performance tuning in a SPARK environment

· Exposure to extractions from SAP ECC, S/4 Hana or BW4HANA and Azure Certifications in relevant areas will be a distinct advantage but not mandatory
