The Division of Mathematical Sciences at SPMS, NTU invites applications for positions at the rank of Visiting Associate Professor in Mathematics. We are looking for candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or computer science or electrical engineering or computer engineering or related areas.

The Visiting Associate Professor will collaborate with faculty members of School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and build a strong publication record in the following areas:

• Constrained coding with emphasis on algorithmic aspects;
• Code design for next-generation storage devices like racetrack and synthetic DNA strands;
• Combinatorics, in particular, enumeration problems related to data storage applications;
• Coding for Private Information Retrieval and other privacy-related applications.

The candidate should have at least 10 years of research experience and have a strong publication record in computer science, coding theory, data storage and other related areas.
