Windows System Engineer (L3)
Full-time: – Hybrid
- Windows Server Administration:
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems (including various editions).
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular updates and patch management.
• Implement security best practices and hardening procedures.
2. Active Directory (AD) Management:
• Design and manage AD forests, domains, domain trusts, and organizational units.
• Configure group policies and security settings.
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
• Troubleshoot AD-related issues and ensure replication is functioning smoothly.
3. Web Services and Application Support:
• Configure and manage Internet Information Services (IIS) for hosting web applications.
• Troubleshoot and optimize web server performance.
• Generating CSR and installing certificates in web Servers.
4. DNS and DHCP Services:
• Administer DNS and DHCP services, ensuring reliable and secure network operations.
• Troubleshoot DNS and DHCP issues as they arise.
5. Certificate Authority (CA):
• Set up and manage certificate authorities for secure communications.
• Issue and renew SSL/TLS certificates.
• Ensure the security and validity of digital certificates.
6. File Transfer Protocols:
• Configure and maintain FTP and SFTP servers for secure file transfers.
• Implement access controls and encryption.
7. High Availability and Clustering:
• Implement and maintain Windows Server failover clustering for high availability.
• Configure load balancing for critical applications.
8. Storage Management:
• Administer storage solutions, including SAN, DAS, NAS, and local storage.
• Optimize storage resources and implement backup strategies.
9. Networking:
• Strong knowledge of networking, LAN, WAN, S2S VPN, load balancers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Configure and troubleshoot network settings on Windows servers.
• Collaborate with network engineers for optimal network performance.
10. Vulnerability Management:
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in Windows environments.
• Stay updated with security patches and best practices.
11. Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps:
• Work with Azure services to deploy, manage, and monitor cloud-based infrastructure.
• Implement Azure DevOps practices for automation and CI/CD pipelines.
12. Backup and Recovery:
Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
Perform regular data backups and test recovery procedures.
13. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations and procedures.
• Generate reports on system performance, security, and compliance.
14. 24/7 Support and Incident Response:
• Provide on-call support and participate in incident resolution.
• Collaborate with other teams to address complex technical issues.
Required Skills :
- Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or Azure certifications are highly desirable.
- Knowledge on MSSQL Clustering and basic MSSQL troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in storage management, backup solutions, and networking protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management and security best practices.
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
