About the job

  • Management and control of the financial resources.
  • Management and control of the day-to-day operations of the Finance unit.
  • Supervision and development of finance unit staff.
  • Timely provision of financial information for reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Monthly and Annual management accounts.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Other financial reports as may be requested from time to time.
  • Overall responsibility for the annual budget process, ongoing monitoring of expenditure against budget including reporting of variance analyses; advising on the multi-annual indicative budgeting as part of the strategy process.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors. Managing the end-to-end audit process of current financial systems.
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management and administration of financial management.
  • Ensuring the Company complies with the local regulatory system, with particular emphasis on payroll taxes, withholding taxes, pension liabilities, SVAT and VAT.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial procedures and appropriate accounting standards including monitoring and improving financial internal controls and safeguarding assets.
  • Prudent cash and bank management and monitoring of bank and cash balances continuously.
  • Overseeing the taxation affairs of the company and liaising with the external tax firm for advice.
  • Implementing and advising on strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Researching market changes and using them to provide strategic financial recommendations.
  • Conducting risk management analyses to ensure the company has a solid risk framework in operation.
  • Performing investment appraisals and analyses.
  • Overseeing the cash flow of the business and ensuring it has appropriate treasury controls in place.
  • Preparing financial statements and business activity reports and presenting them to top executives.
  • Recommending cost reduction strategies and allocating budgets.
  • Overseeing commercial decision-making from margin analysis, tender analysis, and pricing analysis.
  • CA qualified person with other qualifications
