We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our finance team.

Job Scope

As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements for an Ideal Candidate

• Professional Accounting qualification such as CA/ACCA with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years total work experience in an Accountant or similar role.
• Past work experience in the IT industry would be an added advantage.
• Experience in managing a team would be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Knowledge in SLAS/IFRS Accounting Standards and similar principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivables, billing, general ledger entries, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Manage cash flow, including budgeting, optimizing working capital, and monitoring banking activities.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to the management team to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
