Analyst, Primary Markets

The Global Primary Markets team is responsible for maintaining and growing revenues across its equity and fixed income listing segments. This is achieved by raising LSEG visibility, looking for efficiencies to enhance productivity and innovating with our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis of IPO market, with specific emphasis on equity performance, valuations and interaction with other financial markets.

Take active part in various research projects to enhance our understating of primary markets in London and in key regions.

Develop new data sources in order to provide high quality support to the Primary Markets teams.
Create synergies between equity, funds and fixed income

Raise LSEG visibility for three key Primary Markets objectives in 2022

Efficiently create various reports derived from complex datasets to advance Primary Markets core business objectives.

Contribute to policy work of primary markets in order to keep key regulatory debates well informed.

Required Skills and Experience

Communication & impact :
Projects personal credibility and expertise
Prepares high quality communication materials and presentations that are well structured, persuasive and concise
Maintains regular contact with the Business Development team as appropriate to keep them informed and updated on progress, issues and timelines

Analysis and problem solving :
Assimilates information and identifies the pertinent points quickly
Analyses issues to identify the most commercial, realistic and pragmatic solutions
Analyses data efficiently with a view to deliver high quality research
Can ably use data to demonstrate key marketing points
Is able to identify key patterns within the relevant datasets and apply to core Primary Markets activity.
