Assistant CCD Manager – Hair Lead
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for the right person to lead the execution of trade marketing activities and to drive brand initiatives to meet business objectives, while upholding a strong collaboration between Brand, Sales and Other Supporting functions.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To be responsible and accountable for the development and profitability of the category and channel from a trade perspective, with the objective of landing activities and initiatives on-time and in-full in alignment with the Brands’ and Categories’ jobs to be done.

Category Development
- To plan, execute and evaluate Trade Category Plans across brands and channels in order to achieve target sales ambition set within IOPs; while ensuring integration with IBP, Market Development Models (MDM) and Category Value Drivers (J)
- To analyze market trends, category insights and consumer/ shopper insights for the development of annual Trade Category Plan (TCP) (I)
- To ensure delivery of 4 out of 6P Strategies as outlined in BMP, TCP and JBP documents: Pack, Price, Promotion and Place, within the growth and profitability targets of the brand and category (J)
Channel Development
- To analyze market trends, channel thumbprint and issues/ opportunities for the development of specific channels, in alignment with Key Account Planners and Brand Building, to devise a strategy and jobs to be done (I)
Gatekeeping of Demand & Supply
- To jointly forecast sales demand and supply in liaison with SP/DP; while ensuring forecast bias and accuracy are within the pre-determined category KPIs (J)
- To plan, forecast, execute and evaluate Business Cases for NPD/NPI in liaison with BB, CM, SP/DP functions (J)
- To gate keep ongoing network in for NPD/NPI and Non-Innovation (NILG) projects in providing On-Time In-Full (OTIF) deployment of projects in trade (J)
Sales and Profitability
- To ensure category and brand health via management of Trade Term Spends (TTS) and PE Trade across channels and categories (I)
- To analyze and evaluate profitability, P&L and ROI for nationwide/ trade specific campaigns and promotions (I)
Interpersonal
- To act as a key interface within cross-functional stakeholders for the planning, execution and evaluation of trade activities. Key internal stakeholders includes, but not limited to, Brand Building, Key Account Planners/ Operations, Activation & Category Management, Demand and Supply Planners, and Finance and Customer Service & Logistics (J)
- Over and above core roles, to maintain productive, efficient and good relationship within external and internal stakeholders to ensure excellence and flawless execution of activities in trade (J)
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Possesses business experience within sales, marketing, trade marketing or commercial functions with strong sales fundamentals
- A passion for category building, activation and Unilever
- Positive, assertive yet empathetic leadership, with exceptional ‘soft skills’ to enable delivery through high degrees of collaboration and partnership, especially among our global teams, agencies and multifunctional teams
- Extremely high commitment to work with many and different projects, learn fast and deliver quickly
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline
