Key purpose of the Job

The Assistant Manager – Fabric Technologist is responsible for raw material development and quality assurance for live orders of Brandix customers. Dealing with core supplier pillars as well as the new entries, analyzing raw material technical data, initiating relevant conversations with suppliers and customers, authorizing development T & A by following up until execution to customer satisfaction, assuring supplier competency of the developed/presented quality in bulk order, mitigating risk by escalating issues well in advance to relevant teams including the back-end operation and facilitating smooth garment manufacturing environment in factory etc. is key to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for analyzing and converting the raw material technical data to the level that  the supplier is able to develop right the first time.
2. Identifying suitable best-suppliers, negotiating best timeline to develop the raw material and mitigating all possible development challenges.
3. Understanding and forecasting possible raw materials risk and identifying best solutions while detailing en-route cause analysis by aligning with customer approvable standards and specifications.
4. Responsible for summarizing and transferring the raw material technical know-how to the backend team on any specific programmes and directing with passive involvement for smooth manufacturing.
5. Responsible for meeting the supply chain – Fabric technology  KPIs  with continuous improvement of the process.
6. Leading and managing subordinates to build up good network in BUs and plant technical team whilst supporting and respecting peers/seniors within the department and core department.
