About the job

Job Duties

• Installation, Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting and support with various Oracle Database technologies like RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, TAF, Flashback, EM Console etc.

• Should work with Oracle best practices and should possess all necessary documentation at the relevant stages

• Migrating, upgrading databases and Critical Patch Upgrade apply for various customer databases should be carried out

• Should work with various versions of oracle databases ranging from 10g to 19c

• Installation, configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting and support with various MySQL database technologies like MySQL Enterprise Edition features implementations, MySQL Group Replication, Master-Slave replication etc.

• Perform Oracle Cloud Infrastructure implementations.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or equivalent

• Minimum of 1 years experience with Oracle Databases

• Should have working experience with MySQL databases

• In-depth knowledge of implementing and troubleshooting Oracle RAC and Data Guard technologies

• Knowledge of installation and troubleshooting of Linux, Solaris operating systems

• Should have knowledge of cloud technologies

• Knowledge of other DBMS technologies such as EDB, MS SQL Server, and MongoDB would be preferable

• An ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Assess and communicate risks based on complexity, resource, and timeline constraints

• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and influence the outcome

• Should be able to communicate fluently in English/Sinhala Languages

• Should be a team player
