An exciting opportunity at the SLASSCOM Corporate Office to drive the growth of this dynamic and fast-growing industry in Sri Lanka. The role will suit an organized person with high attention to detail, strengths in program management, able to work in a dynamic team environment. You will report to the Executive Director.



Your key responsibilities will include:


Program Management

  • Work with the SLASSCOM Board and General Council to manage two forums (special interest groups) within SLASSCOM
  • Host monthly meetings to plan and execute on event calendar and outcomes
  • Coordinate events and ensure the smooth functioning of the forums
  • Organize and manage events within the budgets identified liaising with third-parties as required
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement


You will possess:



  • At least five years of experience in a similar capacity with a proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks and work under pressure, with changing priorities
  • Respectful of the importance of confidentiality and professionalism
  • High comfort level working with top-level executives and professionals
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office applications
