C/C++ Developer, Senior – Careers at Zebra Technologies – Colombo – LK

The Req is opened in Firmware team in DCS team in Sri Lanka. The selected candidates will start working as a Software Engineer covering  all phases of Software Life cycle including Requirements gathering, Designing, Developing, Testing  and Maintaining scanner firmware and related software tools and applications.

• Participates as a member of a project team of firmware engineers across Zebra development sites, to develop innovative, reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for enterprise class barcode scanner products
• Responsible for the architecture, design, development and engineering testing of barcode scanner firmware, driver software and applications
• Responsible for making necessary modifications for existing firmware designs to meet the customer requirements
• Enhances and improves the existing technologies to develop innovative solution
• Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex issues.
• Ensures compliance with quality process and security standards etc
• Seeks out new tools to analyze and solve problems.

• BSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
• 2 to 6 years of Industry experience is a definite plus.
• Sound knowledge in  C/C++ programming languages
• Experience in Microcontroller development and PCB reworking will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of Web Developments, Databases and UI developments etc  will be a definite plus.
