Casual Research Assistant- (Undergraduate Student)
Do you have experience addressing equity, diversity and human rights issues impacting Black people? Do you have knowledge of anti-racism, anti-oppression, equity, diversity, and inclusion frameworks? If so, please apply to the McGill School of Social Work’s Black Access McGill (BAM) development initiative as a casual research assistant where you will proactively assist in the identification of challenges and opportunities related to supporting Black Social Work students.
The overall role of this position is to assist in the development and implementation of a mentorship program for Black students at the McGill School of Social Work and assist in the planning of the 2022 Black history month.
As a casual research assistant, you need to:
- Have strong writing skills
- Have some program development experience
- Be able to conduct a needs assessment
- Be well-organized.
- Have good word processing, database, and email software skills.
- Be culturally sensitive and communicate well with people from different backgrounds.
- Work well with other people and on your own.
This job is reserved for currently registered McGill students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Work or any cognate discipline.
