Guide To Data Quality Management & Metrics for Data Control

ABOUT THIS JOB
The Data quality analyst will be responsible for improving data quality within AGB Nielsen Media Research and assisting the business maintain and improve data accuracy, and meet all KPI’s and SLA’s.
ROLE DETAILS
Monitoring and reviewing data that is entered into the companies bespoke software application and check for completion and accuracy of data.
Data cleansing – identifying, assessing and resolving any data quality issues.
Developing good relationships with users across the company, interacting with team members and management to resolve any data quality issues.
Developing, Implementing and enforces data quality best practice guidelines, processes, policies, procedures, productivity standards, providing training and resolving operations problems.
Perform root cause analysis on data issues and recommend data quality controls to resolve gaps/issues.
Measuring and reporting to management on the progress of data quality and data quality improvements.
Daily Updating of client Web based interface/ Dashboard 
Raising data quality and performance levels in the Adintel business
Proactively improving the quality of company reporting
Evaluating and identifying where workflow enhancements are required
Actively communicate to internal/external/stakeholders/customers quality issues.
Monitor, and report on Service Level Agreements
Perform audits, as required, to ensure quality processes exist and are being adhered to.
Communicate data quality problems and their potential impacts, and take the lead in resolving via data integration and/or business process improvement.
Investigate, troubleshoot and document data issues from internal and external customers
Ensure compliance with the company’s data privacy policy
Manage documentation related to data quality (data standards, definitions, DQA documents such as checklists, guidelines, manuals, templates, forms, etc.)
Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes.
Working with Management to identify and compile reports on staff Performance and productivity standards and implement performance initiatives
Assist Senior Manager with conducting performance reviews of data entry staff.
Briefing teams on new initiatives, changes to targets and changes to KPI or SLA’s
Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in statistics, information management, or similar.
At least 5 years of experience in data analysis.
Ability to identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Ability to review, analyse and manage large volumes of data
Should have experience with, and understanding of, implementing and measuring Data Quality and Controls
Outstanding attention to detail and an extremely meticulous approach to work
Strong organisational skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
An aptitude for analysis and client reporting
Proficient in supervising activities of quality assurance staff
Proven passion for the data quality discipline
Good interpersonal skills
Proven ability to meet established deadlines
Talent for quickly learning new tasks
Good multitasking skills
A strong drive for results

Be able to plan and lead projects to completion
Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel/Google sheet and the google suite
