Faculty Positions

Foundational to the forward-thinking ethos of the University, Ningbo University is launching a new interdisciplinary Institute for Future Wireless Research to establish world-class leadership in emerging engineering disciplines in teaching and research activities. As part of the Faculty of Information Science and Engineering, several Faculty Positions are available for distinguished candidates with excellent skills and talents in applied electromagnetics, RF, microwaves, and millimeter-wave and wireless sciences and engineering, with emphasis on, but not limited to, emerging and unconventional MHz-through-THz ICs, circuits, antennas, components and systems, integrated transceiver techniques, millimeter-wave and THz technologies and systems, field theory, phased arrays and wireless communication, sensing, and powering. Any outstanding application in the area of microelectronics, communications technology, computer science and automatic control will also be considered.

With relatively light teaching loads, the appointees will be required to (a) conduct world-class research leading to top-tier refereed journal publications and awards for competitive research grants; (b) undertake research, programme/curriculum development and administration; (c) supervise student projects and theses; (d) engage in advanced industrial research and consultancy services; (e) participate in national and international professional activities and scholarly programs.

Applicants should have (a) a PhD in relevant disciplines with interests in cross-field activities; (b) strong commitment to excellence in research; (c) good publication records; (d) excellent networking ability and communication skills; and (e) good sense of responsibility and voluntarism.
