Full Stack Engineer
Full stack mobile engineer (mobile) React native
Fully remote, Australian startup
About the Position
- Design, develop and improve new/existing solutions in JavaScript (React Native, React and Node)
- Ability to support existing systems, fix bugs and roll out long term solutions
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the development and support process
- Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders
- Participate in Sprint Planning
- Provide coaching and guidance to other Developers
- Using your technical knowledge, to suggest the most ideal way to complete projects
- Develop integrations that consume internal/third-party APIs
- Maintain a high standard of coding, documentation, write automated tests, and participate in code review
About you
- 5 plus years of experience as a full-stack developer, delivering maintainable, scalable solutions for mobile and web.
- Strong React Native and Nodejs.
- Strong knowledge in the JavaScript (frameworks, libraries, developer tools)
- Firm grasp of the JavaScript and TypeScript language and its nuances, including ES6+
- Strong understanding of designing and working with relational databases i.e. MySQL
- Strong understanding of coding best practices, and the ability to write clean, well-documented, maintainable code that is easy to understand.
- Experience with building reusable components across multiple applications and code bases
- Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest
- Good understanding of working with version control (git) in a team environment
- Knowledge of designing, maintaining, and consuming RESTful APIs
- Collaborative approach to ways of working and good communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to develop solutions
- A keen interest for experimenting and learning new technologies.
