We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our business as The Head of Market Services in Sri Lanka to deliver and lead the Market Services Team (formally known as Millennium or (MIT)) for the Shared technology group.

 

Working closely with the other technology groups and business divisions, we are looking for someone to deliver high performing exchange platforms, Surveillance capabilities, Post trade capabilities, and Index components of our product lines.

 

Critical to this, you will need to provide strong leadership to the team and work in collaboration with the corporate functions that offer support in achieving our strategic objectives and ensuring we have a strong, engaged, inclusive culture in the region.

Role Responsibilities

– Leads the development and execution of strategy for Market Services Team, setting and driving the achievement of KPIs and objectives through effective leadership and ensuring alignment with the broader function and Group technology strategies
– Champions and delivers an agile delivery methodology to enable business agility and a culture of continuous improvement. Provides leadership, coaching and development to their team to drive high performance.
– Manages relationships with key suppliers, setting performance standards and managing the resolution of escalated service issues
Ensure resource optimization through a blended strategic work force plan of FTE/Contractor and Scale partners, and ensure that resource allocation is aligned with business priorities and identify solutions for the optimal utilization of resources
Ensures that all teams have been trained in appropriate methodologies, standards and policies and understand their role in the organization
– Leverages latest emerging & innovative technology and automation, to enable business growth, simplification of processes, improve customer experience and drive cost reduction of delivery & maintenance
– Leads a team of technical SMEs, e.g., engineering, architecture, delivery, product, etc., for the delivery of Change services against business requirements and the day-to-day delivery of operational services and production systems, ensuring that the agreed operational SLAs and KPIs are met

-Demonstrate strong leadership capability to with external and internal stakeholders,

– Responsible for the total MIT Team, circa 600 FTEs

– Responsible for the leadership of the Malabe, Sri Lanka office, Member of the Shared Technology Leadership Team

Minimum Requirements

– This is a People Manager role
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
– Extensive experience in Financial Services and of running Research and Development programs of work
– Extensive experience in people management and multi-group management
– Significant experience of Software Development, Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, and / or Emerging Technology and Governance.
