Key purpose of the Job

As the Intern – Engineering, you will be reporting to the Deputy General Manager – Engineering of the SBU. You will support and drive the automation function through planning, scheduling and executing projects in order to achieve desired outcomes and uninterrupted factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist to drive and recommend to the management on cost reduction initiatives, efficiency improvement initiatives, and plant improvement projects related to automation whilst ensuring maximized asset utilization.
  2. Liaise with Internal and External stakeholders to achieve effective project implementation by introducing new and modifications of existing machinery,
  3. Prepare conceptual designs and 3D models/prototypes whilst designing and fabricating relevant components pertaining to automation initiatives.
  4. Support the installation and commissioning process of new machinery while assisting the plant machine maintenance  crew on trouble shooting through operational trainings.

Education

Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

Age below 25 years.
A dynamic, self-motivated individual who is willing to take up challenges.
Be methodical and good at prioritizing work under demanding circumstances.
